PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Web Analytics
The Web Intelligence position assesses the effectiveness of online advertising, search and website work against relevant business and/or interactive metrics (for online advertising: click-thru-rate, conversion to leads, conversion to sales, and overall ROI (as needed), for websites: traffic analysis, page visits, etc.).
Collection of data from internal and secondary sources and robust reports such as
- campaign analysis,
- periodic website reporting,
- and many ad-hoc analysis
for both internal and external purposes are crucial outputs of the position.
Analysis and evaluation of results and performance includes
- understanding of the company and its objectives,
- the marketplace and its influences,
- the media plan,
- other advertising/promotion efforts’ effects on results,
- and elements of the creative executions themselves.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Interactive Strategy
- Working with the account teams, communicate strategic thinking on the company’s interactive communications and marketing.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how online marketing affects a company’s business. This includes a demonstrated understanding of the company’s business model, category, competition and customers/consumers. This involves detailed research (mostly secondary, but sometimes primary), documentation and presentation.
- Create interactive strategy and creative briefs, which guides interactive creative development.
- Work closely with the company’s many departments and demonstrate an ability to understand concerns, workflows, and responsibilities of all groups.
